'Fraud' is one of the categories of policy violations we monitor. Fraud includes misleading, deceiving or violating trust for the purpose of obtaining an unfair or unjust advantage. Read more about it on this page.

Incorrect company information

What is not allowed, for example:

  • Knowingly providing an improper Chamber of Commerce/VAT number.
  • Misusing an activation code.

New account after closing account

What is not allowed, for example:

  • Create a new seller account when another account has been previously closed.

What is allowed:

  • Have one seller account for the Netherlands and one seller account for Belgium.

Payment outside bol

What is not allowed, for example:

  • Requesting a customer to pay outside bol.
  • Alerting a customer to the possibilities of ordering outside bol.

Fail to deliver

What is not allowed, for example:

  • Not handling an order and not delivering it.

What is allowed:

  • Cancel an order if you have no other option, for example if you are out of stock. Note that ‘Cancellations’ is part of the service standards.

Good to know: If you have multiple seller accounts, for a policy violation ‘Fraud’ we have the authority to deduct the relevant number of points on all your accounts linked to the same Chamber of Commerce number and all related Chamber of Commerce numbers.
